Class: Building Emotional Intelligence at Work
"We are being judged by a new yardstick: not just how smart we are, or by our training and expertise, but also by how well we handle ourselves and each other."

Often, our clients tell us: our employees have the necessary job skills, but other job-related behaviors get in the way. Communication breaks down. Conflict develops. Teams can't function. Regardless of how smart, expert or well-trained employees are, they need the skills to interact and collaborate. Studies show that building emotional intelligence through training works.
The class includes a participant pre-training 360-degree assessment followed by feedback. Participants practice competencies within an integrated business-specific simulation.
Participants develop skills in these areas:
- Recognizing their strengths and limits.
- Managing disruptive emotions and impulses.
- Maintaining standards of honesty and integrity.
- Taking responsibility for personal performance.
- Striving to improve or meet a standard of excellence.
- Acting on opportunities.
- Sensing others’ feelings and perspectives, and taking an active interest in their concerns.
- Anticipating, recognizing, and meeting customers’ needs.
- Cultivating opportunities through diverse people.
- Using effective tactics for persuasion.
- Inspiring and guiding others.
- Initiating and managing change.
